Luxury car manufacturer BMW said on Thursday that it will announce plans for a new design car at the end of 2021.
“At the end of this year, we will announce the production of another high-end car,” Chairman Oliver Zipse told CNBC’s Phil LeBeau. “Squeak box. “

Zipse did not provide any other details about the new car, but talked about his support for the Biden administration’s ambitious ambition to achieve 50% electric vehicle sales by 2030.
Zipse told CNBC that the new model is being produced at its Spartanburg plant in Geer, South Carolina. The Spartanburg plant has the company’s highest output of all BMW plants in the world.
