HAVELSAN signed a procurement contract with Barzan Maintenance Shield QTSP LLC of Qatar to provide maintenance support within the scope of the AW-139 project.
According to the contract signed by Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar, General Manager of HAVELSAN, and Abdullah Al-Khater, Vice President of Barzan Maintenance Shield:
HAVELSAN will provide 36 months of maintenance, repair, maintenance and operation services for the following equipment located at Qatar Emir Air Force (QEAF) AL UDEID Military Air Force Base/Doha with a 90% activity rate:
- 1 AW-139 Full Mission Simulator (FMS),
- 1 AW-139 flight and navigation procedure training device (FNPT),
- 1 AW-139 Rear Seat Trainer (RCT),
- 1 Tactical Control Center (TCC),
- 1 Reporting system.
Provide at least 100 hours of training for each system every month.
There are 2 maintenance/repair technicians on site, providing services under the support of HAVELSAN headquarters staff, including 1 project manager, 1 administrative coordinator, 1 technical coordinator, and engineering staff from the R&D and Engineering Bureau.
