On Saturday, during a festival in Cavendish Park in Barrow, two other people were injured. Cumbria Police has launched a joint investigation with HSE.

The police were called to the scene by the Northwest Ambulance Service Center at 8:30 pm. They were treating three injured people.

They were all taken to Furness General Hospital.

While the investigation continues, the cordon still exists.

The charity St. Mary’s Hospice Hospital, for which Fudstock is raising funds, posted a statement on its Facebook page.

It said: “The St. Mary’s hospice management team is aware of an incident at the’Fudstock’ event on Barrow Island tonight.

“Although we are not directly involved in the organization or planning of the event, we do have some fundraisers and volunteers present on our behalf.

“We have kept in touch with them and the organizers of the event to provide any immediate support they may need.

“We will be happy to help them.”
