On Sunday, President Joe Biden appeared at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware to participate in the “dignified transfer” of 13 soldiers killed in the recent terrorist attack at Kabul Airport.

First Lady Jill Biden, Secretary of State Anthony Brinken, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and several civilian and uniformed military leaders also participated in this gloomy event, with the American flag draped on the coffin. The family members observed from the private area that they were carried by the guards from the C-17 military transport plane to the black truck.

According to the White House, the Bidens met with family members of military personnel. They attended the meeting but were not photographed or photographed by the media.

President Biden called these soldiers the “backbone of the United States,” and also talked about retaliatory efforts against the Kabul attack in Afghanistan.

“We will hunt you down and make you pay,” Biden said.
