Climate protesters from the Extinction Rebellion took aim at JPMorgan Chase’s London office on Wednesday, breaking windows and doors with hammers and chisels. The militant group said in a statement.
The organization said that eight female extinction rebel activists put on stickers that read “Break the glass in a climate emergency” before breaking two of the bank’s office windows.
The women knocked on the windows with hammers and chisels decorated with the words “Care”, “Love” and “Life”. The organization said they were still sitting outside the Embankment Bank office in London with posters that read: “Stop hurting” and “Actions instead of words.”
The protests are part of Extinction Rebellion’s ongoing campaign against organizations that support the use of fossil fuels. In April of this year, activists also broke the windows of the London headquarters of Barclays Bank and HSBC Bank.
