On August 28, a 28-year-old man was shot and seriously injured in a battle on the 1200 block of South King Street.
Witnesses called 911 at 1:45 am to report that a man shot and shot a person in the parking lot of 12th Avenue South and South Avenue.
The police arrived quickly and found multiple gunshot wounds to the victim’s chest-he was taken to the Harborview Medical Center, where the injuries were life-threatening.
The police talked to witnesses who claimed that the victim was shot and killed after a fighting riot occurred in a nearby club. Witnesses were unable to provide a description of the suspect. Officials have collected evidence and are working with nearby businesses to determine if any surveillance video may have captured the incident.
On August 25, another man was shot dead near Seventh Avenue and Dearborn Street.
The 21-year-old young man suffered a shoulder injury and was taken to Harbour View.
