According to reports, a high school student in Georgia has filed criminal charges after being attacked by a camera on his classmates holding the LGBTQ pride flag.
Lands County Sheriff Ashley Paulk said on Friday that a young suspect at Lands High School was accused of disorderly conduct, simple assaults and vandalism of public facilities. Valdosta DailyThe allegations were made a day after the video was first circulated on social media.
In this video, which appears to be recorded in a high school cafeteria, a student wearing a black T-shirt can be seen running to a table, and a student wearing a rainbow wig is sitting there, wearing a proud flag. The attackers violently tore off the flags from the sitting students, forcing them to fall to the ground.
Then another student sitting near the victim was seen trying to physically intervene because the assailant ran to a nearby trash can and forcibly threw the flag into it. The video ends when the attacker pushes away to interfere with the students.
