September 4th is National Wildlife Day every year to raise people’s awareness of forest inhabiting plants and animal species.
This day was founded in 2005 by the animal behaviorist and philanthropist Colleen Paige. According to the official website.
Main Purpose This day is to educate people on the need to protect and rescue endangered animals in the United States and around the world.

In June, the Chinese government removed pangolin scales from the official list of ingredients approved for use in drugs as part of an effort to stop the world’s most smuggled wild mammal trade. In 2019, at least 400,000 pangolins were killed because of their scales and flesh.
