According to reports, Melania Trump, wife of former President Donald Trump, has no interest in returning to the White House again as the first lady.
The former first lady allegedly told several people in her circle that she did not intend to support Donald’s political ambitions, nor did she intend to return to politics.
“Being the first lady again is not what she wants,” a person familiar with the matter told CNN“For her, this is a chapter—it’s over.”
Another person who knows that Melania is not interested in supporting her husband’s political campaign also said that even if he announces his participation in the 2024 election, she is unlikely to appear at the former president’s rally.
“On the contrary, it will be Lara or Guilfoyle. They have the same impulse that Trump must (run) again; Melania absolutely will not,” the source told the publication.
Laura Trump is the wife of Donald’s son Eric; and Kimberly Gilfoyle is the girlfriend of his eldest son Donald Jr.
As we all know, Mrs. Trump avoids the spotlight during and after her husband’s presidency. During Donald’s four-year tenure, Melania only appeared in five camera interviews, and did not appear in print media interviews.
After leaving the White House, Melania has only been caught in public once – In July, leaving Trump Tower in New York City with her 15-year-old son Barron.
It is said that the former first lady lives full-time in Sea Lake Manor, Florida. However, a reporter later questioned whether Melania lived with her husband in the Florida Club, where she rarely interacted with people.
“The assistants were cautious and didn’t ask carefully or publicly doubt it. At Sealake Manor, it’s not clear either,” Michael Wolfe wrote In his book “Landslides: The Last Days of Trump’s Presidency.”
In February, Melania announced that she would open an office in Palm Beach. It will have two to three full-time employees, two of whom have worked in the White House during Trump’s administration.
“Mrs. Melania Trump announced the opening of Melania Trump’s office. Please follow this account for news and updates,” wrote a tweet from her office in February.
Since its establishment, Melania Trump’s office has not announced any initiatives or goals.
