The Indiana Pacers provided an unfortunate update on forward TJ Warren’s recovery from a stress fracture in his left foot.
They report that the striker’s left foot is healing, “but not at the rate previously expected”, so He will stay outside indefinitely.
This is undoubtedly disastrous for the Pacers fans, because Warren is an important part of their recent success, and leaving him out “indefinitely” will only make things more complicated for them.
In the 2019-20 season, Warren led the team in scoring with 19.8 points per game and helped the team get the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference.
However, Warren has been dealing with a large number of injuries throughout his career, until his first year in the league with the Phoenix Suns.
The 14th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft had a broken left thumb before participating in an NBA game, a fractured right foot at the end of the 2015-16 season, a minor head injury in the second season, and a stress fracture of the left scaphoid bone.
In his career, he has not participated in more than 70 games. The most games he played in a season is 67 games.
When the Pacers hired Rick Carlisle as their new head coach, they hoped to regroup this season. The team captain’s former rookie of the year Malcolm Brogdon (Malcolm Brogdon) is very happy to let him join.
Brogdon will again need to lead the team to compete for a playoff spot this season, and the addition of Domantas Sabonis and Miles Turner is very feasible.
Justin Holiday is currently expected to become the team’s starting small forward.
Warren made his situation public and assured fans through Twitter.
“Pacers fans. I just want you to hear this directly from me. I make sure I can complete this recovery process correctly so that I can get back on the court as soon as possible and become the best person I can do.”
