However, a Nevada man got a surprise when he opened a letter sent by the neighbor next door.
Binh Cao shared a note Twitter, It has received nearly 500,000 likes and more than 30,000 retweets. The signature of this letter is a person named Todd, who said that he “wants to discuss your music.”
In most cases, the next step will be a more or less polite request to lower the volume.
However, Todd’s letter actually asked Cao to tune up—and tell him what music he had been playing.
“Dear neighbor. I live next door and I want to talk about your music,” the letter began.
“1) Turn it up. I’m not kidding. You play well! 2) Tell me what song you are playing. I need that *** as my playlist.”
The note continued: “3) I’m not being sarcasm or anything, since you moved in, I really like the music you play. Sincerely, Todd (the male part of the couple next door). Send me some songs! “
A handwritten message was scrawled at the bottom of the printed note: “No kidding-good music!”
Cao, who works as a senior brand designer at Commence Studio in Renault, described the letter on Twitter as “the opposite of noise complaints.”
Most importantly, he revealed that Todd also left him a cold beer.
Twitter user BrazilianBucks posted a response to Cao’s post on social media for many people.
“If there is no link to the playlist, you can’t post this,” they wrote. “I need to know what Todd is listening to!!”
Cao promptly returned to Twitter to share a link to a Spotify playlist, which he said was “inspired by trust” and “dedicated to all the cold neighbors there.”
Weekly newspaper Cao Zuo has been contacted for further comment.
