The 31-year-old player, better known by the name Zanka, joined the Bees on a one-year contract, subject to work permits and international customs clearance.
The central defender was a free agent before leaving Turkey Fenerbahce Earlier this summer.
Zanka has Premier League experience after playing for Huddersfield Town, when they played in the top league for two years from 2017 to 2019.
The defender was loaned from Fenerbahçe to the Danish Premier League team Copenhagen last season and helped them get third place.
Brentford coach Thomas Frank said: “We are very happy to strengthen our lineup and bring an experienced top player to the team. This is especially important after Mads Bech’s injury.
“Zanka brings a wealth of experience from different leagues and many international competitions. He has also played in the Premier League before.”
Zanka’s deal with Brentford includes extending his stay for another 12 months, until June 2023.
