The White House said on Wednesday that it asked 18 people appointed by the Trump administration to resign from the board of directors of the military academy, saying that President Joe Biden would require these officials to “be consistent with the values of this administration.”
The White House stated that the 18 people—six members of the visiting committees of the Air Force Academy, the Military Academy and the Naval Academy—are required to resign.
The White House stated that if they do not resign, they will be fired at 18:00.

Those asked to step down include Kellyanne Conway, a White House adviser under Donald Trump and Sean Spicer, a White House spokesperson under the former Republican president.
“I will let others evaluate whether they think Kylian Conway and Sean Spicer are qualified to serve on these boards,” White House spokesperson Jen Psaki said in response to a question in the daily briefing. .

“I will not resign, but you should resign,” Conway wrote in a letter to Biden on Twitter.
Spicer, who serves on the Visiting Committee of the U.S. Naval Academy, said on Wednesday’s Newsmax program that he will not step down.
Spicer said: “I will not submit my resignation, I will participate in the lawsuit to fight this matter.”
Trump’s former budget director Russwater also said he will not resign.
