Google My Business No longer-I’m used to saying “Google Business Profile” because the search company simplified and renamed its important local search tool.
The new name provides a brand new way for companies to declare their personal data, which can now be done directly through search and maps.

How to declare a Google business profile
A quick search of your company name in Google will return an option to verify your profile or resolve issues with declared profile.
This can also be done through your profile in the Google Maps app, or by entering the keyword “my company” in the search bar.
A declared and verified Google business profile allows you to edit the information displayed in search results when people are looking for your business.

Businesses who create or declare a business profile on Google can complete the settings directly on Google Search and Maps.
Since the entire process can be done in Google search, companies will be able to immediately see whether their personal information is publicly visible.
If it is not, Google will tell you to do so so that searchers can see it.
What does this mean for companies?
If you have already claimed a Google business profile (previously called a “Google My Business” list), then you don’t need to take any further action.
Going forward, the easiest way to manage personal information will be through Google Search and Maps.

Small businesses no longer need the Google My Business website and mobile app.
For large businesses, the Google My Business website can still be used to manage multiple profiles from one dashboard. Over time, it will be renamed “Business Profile Manager”.
In 2022, the “Google My Business” app will be retired to migrate users to a new experience.
Those who use the Google My Business API can continue to do so because it won’t go anywhere. It will retain all its current features and receive more updates in the future.
