Coronavirus death toll at 11:00 (GMT) on Monday
Paris-According to official sources compiled by Agence France-Presse at 11:00 (Greenwich Mean Time) on Monday, the novel coronavirus has caused at least 5,047,055 deaths since its outbreak in China in December 2019.
At least 249,764,160 coronavirus cases have been registered. The vast majority of people have recovered, but some people continue to show symptoms after weeks or even months.
These figures are based on daily reports provided by the health authorities of each country.
They excluded amendments made by other statistical organizations, which indicated that the death toll was much higher.
The World Health Organization estimates that due to the extremely high mortality rate directly or indirectly related to Covid-19, the total death toll from the pandemic may be two to three times higher than the official record.
Although many countries have strengthened testing, there are still a large number of mild or asymptomatic cases that have not been detected.
On Sunday, 4,870 new deaths and 336,137 new cases were recorded globally.
According to the latest report, the country with the largest number of new deaths is Russia, with 1190 new deaths, followed by Ukraine (473) and Romania (273).
The United States is the most affected country, with 46,487,857 cases resulting in 754,431 deaths.

Australia bypasses vaccine regulations with black market certificate
Melbourne – The ban on unvaccinated Australians from entering bars and restaurants has led to thousands of stabbings – but it has also witnessed the rise of the online black market of fake Covid-19 vaccine certificates.
The 24-year-old Molly who asked to conceal her real name is in town.
When Melbourne got rid of a sporadic lockdown of more than 260 days last month, although she was not vaccinated, the charm of the city’s vibrant social scene was hard to resist.
“I am not against the vaccine,” she told AFP, “but I don’t agree that it is so mandatory.”
In the past few weeks, she has used fake vaccine passports obtained through social media to dine in many restaurants across the city.
“There was a link a few months ago: you enter your details and it will give you a vaccine passport,” she explained.
The link has been deleted, but the Australian authorities are playing a mole-mouse game with many similar websites and apps that are keen to cash out.

Germany’s 7-day incidence of new coronary pneumonia rises to record high
BERLIN-The number of people infected with the new crown virus per 100,000 people in Germany in the past 7 days soared to 201.1 on Monday, the highest record since the outbreak began more than a year ago.
This figure was announced by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) in Germany and surpassed the previous high of 197.6 reached on December 22, 2020.
Although the number of people in the country who have been vaccinated is much higher than in the same period last year, the vaccination rate has been stagnating below 70%, and officials begged the public to be vaccinated in the last few days.
“For those who have not been vaccinated, they are at a high risk of being infected in the next few months,” RKI head Lothar Wieler warned on Wednesday.
In Eastern Saxony, the incidence rate is more than twice the national average of 491.3, and people who have not been vaccinated face new restrictions starting Monday.

Despite the coronavirus wave, Russia’s shutdown ends
MOSCOW-On Monday, most of Russia ended a week-long paid holiday in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus, despite thousands of new cases and more than 1,000 deaths in the country every day.
President Vladimir Putin ordered paid holidays from October 30 to November 7 in order to prevent a surge in infections and deaths that have been exacerbated by slow vaccination campaigns.
Individual regions have the right to extend the deadline, but as of Monday, only five regions have done so, including Bryansk in the western region and Tomsk in the Siberian region.
However, some regions did introduce or expand the requirement to provide vaccination certificates for visits to restaurants, cafes and shopping centers.
Moscow is the epicenter of the Russian pandemic, and most public events still do not require a vaccination certificate.

As New Zealand reaches its vaccination target, Auckland’s virus containment measures have eased
WELLINGTON-New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said that due to rising vaccination rates and lockdown measures may be phased out at the end of this month, New Zealand will begin to relax coronavirus restrictions in its largest city starting Wednesday .
With the spread of the infectious delta variant of the coronavirus, the city of Auckland has been locked down for nearly three months, and since August, more than 4,500 people have been infected during the most severe stage of the New Zealand pandemic.
But rising vaccination rates and increasing pressure from critics for more freedom prompted Ardern to end restrictions.
Ardern said at a press conference on Monday: “Auckland has been working hard to increase vaccination rates. Once these goals are reached, they should be able to act immediately no matter what happens in the rest of the country.”
Ardern said that the first dose of vaccination in Auckland increased to 90% over the weekend, and it is strongly expected that the second dose of vaccination will reach the target of 90% by November 29.
