Mabrouk, who denied wrongdoing, was arrested in 2015 for the death of Pc Fletcher, but two years later, the Metropolitan Police Department stated that although detectives can identify the responsible person, they cannot bring charges.

Allegedly, Mabrouk was inside the Libyan Embassy on April 17, 1984, when a gunman opened fire from inside the building, while anti-Gaddafi and supportive demonstrators gathered outside.

Mr. Murray from Chingford, east London, suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He held her when his colleague was dying and promised that he would find her murderer.
