On Sunday, November 7, Sarah Asheville, 47, died at her home on South Wales Street.
The murder investigation into her death continues, and the three men are still in police custody.
On Wednesday, Sarah’s family issued a touching statement through the police: “We are very shocked by what happened to Sarah. We all love her very much. Nothing can prepare you for such terrible news. We are very sad.
“Sarah has a long life to go. Thinking that this has been taken away from her, she has also been taken away from us, and we can’t bear it.
“We are very touched by the many kind and loving tributes posted by friends and relatives on social media in the past few days. It reminds us how much she is loved and how many people have such affection for her, which makes us feel relieved. .”
Due to recent police contact with Sarah, Avon and Somerset police have forcibly referred the official referral to IOPC.
DS Gary Haskins, who is in charge of the Major Crime Investigation Team, is leading the investigation into Sarah’s death.
He said: “It is clear from our investigations to date that Sarah is loved as a daughter, mother and friend. Our family liaison officer is supporting her parents and two sons. All the team’s ideas are in line with They are with us. We ask for privacy and consider their losses.
“This is a fast and complex investigation, and we are exploring multiple leads. We are grateful to everyone who contacted us and provided information, shared closed-circuit television, and took the time to conduct door-to-door interviews with officials.
“We have arrested three people and are conducting a thorough and detailed forensic examination of Sarah’s home. The team is determined to bring justice to Sarah and seek answers for her family.
“If you are on South Street on Sunday, are there any dash cams, CCTV or phone footage from the area that day, or any other information that can help us piece together Sarah’s last few hours? We would like to hear from you.”
