Although London lags behind other parts of the country in terms of vaccination, the number of infections continues to decline.
HounslowLondon has the highest number of cases per 100,000 people, at 322, and the number of infections dropped this week. The district recorded 875 in the week ending November 8, down from 948 in the previous week.
Sutton has the second highest infection rate in the capital, with its case rate per 100,000 people falling from 404 to 318 in a week.
The infection rate in the Borough of Richmond upon Thames dropped sharply from 401.9 to 311.9.
Despite the lowest case rate nationwide, the number of infections in Tower Hamlets, Southwark and Westminster increased slightly.
In Tower Hamlets, the number of cases per 100,000 people in a week rose from 193.4 to 200.3. At the same time, Westminster’s infection rate jumped from 165.6 to 190.5 after recording another 514 cases.
Southwark has the second lowest infection rate in the country, but the number of infections has increased slightly. The district recorded 566 cases last week, an increase of 10 from the previous week.
