How Adele made a marriage proposal at her “one night only” concert

Adele’s songs may be full of heartbreak, but romance is obviously very important to the singer. In her recent “one night only” TV show, her experience of helping people at her concert is more special than ever-this is not the first time she has participated in an unexpected marriage proposal.

Ashley is a vegan chef who has been waiting for her partner Quentin to propose for seven years, but may never have expected such a sight.

Before proposing marriage, Adele warned her crowd of what was about to happen, telling them to keep quiet at this magical moment.

She told her audience that Ashley was celebrating her first major performance as a caterer, but did not know Adele was there.

The singer said: “If you speak up again, I will kill you.”

Then, before Quentin took off his mask and knelt down on one knee, Ashley was completely blindfolded and brought to the front of the stage.

The chef was totally shocked and in awe at this moment, crying when Quentin tried to tell her what she meant to him.

But their interaction also won some laughter from the crowd. When Quentin told his partner how patient she was, she replied in tears: “I have been your girlfriend for so long!”

Quentin tried to speak, Ashley fell to his knees, and the two hugged on the floor of the concert hall. She said, “Yes.”

However, her surprise was not over yet, Adele then stepped onto the stage and won enthusiastic applause from the audience.

At first, the couple just embraced happily, believing that their love and engagement were the only reason for the crowd’s reaction. But soon they realized that everyone had received some applause.

When they looked at Adele, the singer just said, “Hello, Ashley, Quentin. Are you okay?”

When Ashley looked up at the singer, her jaw hit the floor, and the singer continued to serenade them and the other crowd until the rest of the concert.

Adele is not shy about participating in proposals and activities.

Before her “one night only” performance, Adele helped many fans participate in her concerts during her last world tour in 2016 and 2017.

In Belfast in 2016, due to Ireland’s tradition of engagement in leap years, she asked the crowd if anyone wanted to propose to help a couple on stage.

This continued at other concerts across Europe, and then during her Melbourne tour, a couple proposed marriage on stage, and Adele smiled in the corner.

She also helped her close friend British comedian Alan Carr marry his long-time partner Paul Drayton.

The singer who was specially appointed to participate in the ceremony held a wedding in the back garden of her Los Angeles home and paid for the entire event.

Carl said in the 2018 British morning show “This Morning”: “She has known me and Paul for a long time, and she said:’I want to participate in your special day. Let me do everything.’

“So she did everything, she became a monk, she married us. She is the kindest, sweetest, and loveliest person ever.”
