The three fighters who left the last impression on ONE: NextGen II

Last weekend, ONE NextGen II provided high-intensity actions on the entire card, Participate in one of the most powerful events in this year’s promotion.

Here are the three fighters who impressed the most during the card period on November 12.

Jo Nattawut, no doubt

“Smokin'” Jo Nattawut won a spot in the ONE Featherweight Taekwondo World Grand Prix as a substitute after defeating Yurik Davtyan of Armenia.

After losing to Giorgio Petrosyan in 2019, people wondered if it was a fluke that Nattawut was eliminated by the Taekwondo legend, and the outstanding performance of the Thai proved that it was a one-off event.

After he caught the Armenian laziness, he won in just one round, grabbing Davtyan with a left uppercut, shocking him, and then hitting Davtyan’s chin with his iconic right cross.

Referee Justin Brown saw Davtyan stumble and fall on his head as he stood up and immediately cancelled the game.

If any of the four semi-finalists of Marat Gregorian, David Kiria, Chingis Arazov or Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong withdraw due to injury, Natavut is now waiting to enter championship.

Tang Kai shoots

Chinese featherweight player Tang Kai has been calling for promotion, letting him face some top-ranked fighters, he may only force their hands after eliminating Yin Changmin in the first round.

Before the fight, the two fighters had been trading barbs with each other, and it was Tang who had the last laugh.

Tang grabbed Yin with the left hand of the hay machine and sent him back to the mat first, where he hit the ground and beat the Korean to win the TKO.

His confidence in himself has once again paid off. Although a promotion will not automatically make him into the title, the winner between Gary Tonon and the defending featherweight champion Thanh Le should pay attention to their backs, because Tang Zheng rode a fiery eight-game winning streak.

Rittewada’s performance on Saemapetch is shocking

In the main event not to be missed, the ONE Championship rookie Rittewada Petchyindee Academy was greatly welcomed when facing the first-ranked bantamweight Saemapetch Fairtex.

Saemapetch owns Rittewada’s number because he knocked him down with his patented combination of left, straight and right uppercuts, and continued to dominate him as the battle continued.

However, in the rapid exchange of fire in the battle, Ritwada grabbed Saemapetch with a terrifying elbow on his eyebrows, which caused referee Olivier Cost to have the circus doctor examine the incision.

They thought this entry point was too dangerous to fight against, and awarded Rittewada a shocking TKO victory.

As a purchased championship knockout, Rittewada’s victory undermined his compatriot’s goal of rematching Nong-O Gaiyanghadao for the bantamweight Muay Thai championship, instead placing himself directly in front of the champion.
