Prosecutor Alexander Alawode said: “At 4:30 in the morning, near Buckingham Palace Road, a fire chief saw the defendant and allegedly tried to cross the fence and invade the site.”
Carani, suffering from a mental disorder, climbed the fence to enter the manor, and then climbed back to the public road of Buckingham Palace.
The prosecutor added: “For fear of violating security regulations, court guards soon detained him outside the fence.”
“The defendant was described as confused and did not know where he was or what happened.”
He will be sentenced on December 16.
