Panaji is “affectionately” called Panjim and is a planned city that serves as the capital of Goa. Although Panjim is “mainly frequented by business travelers,” it continues to maintain its tourist charm in view of the surrounding beaches, churches and natural beauty. Surrounded by some beautiful Portuguese Baroque architecture and the joyous atmosphere of the carnival, watching this focus of Goa transform into an unparalleled festive atmosphere, equivalent to the best traditional celebration of any western festival. In addition, the Indo-Portuguese capital, Goa, is also the only place in the state with stepped streets and long seaside promenades, displaying some of the largest casino cruise ships. Fortunately, my stay in Panjim was powered by the Treehouse Neptune in the city center, which allowed me to visit its terraced hills, Portuguese buildings, magnificent churches, and a riverside promenade lined with acacia and Gulmohar trees.

All within walking distance! If it were not for the “smart position” of Neptune in the tree house, I would not have the opportunity to explore this coastal mountaintop like I did. Come and have a look. Treehouse Neptune Business & Leisure Hotel is just a few steps away from Panjim Church and Jardim Garcia de Orta. It has an ivory facade with a hanging balcony to welcome you. Treehouse Neptune provides a relaxing environment and is undoubtedly one of the best hotels in the neighborhood. If you like consistent quality service, you will prefer it.

The staff here are very polite and friendly, which is what I have experienced in all the tree house hotels in Goa. Treehouse Neptune in Panjim also offers guests world-class cuisine in its all-day coffee shop, which can be seamlessly transformed into a multi-purpose hall. This coffee shop is also loved by customers because it uses upgraded furniture to meet the needs of modern travelers.
Tree House Neptune Suite 214
Like other suites in Treehouse Neptune, suite 214 measures 460 square feet. Create a luxurious accommodation experience for those who pursue luxurious space. The air-conditioned suite opens up to a king-size bed with a spacious seating area that will take you to the fenced balcony overlooking the famous Church of Immaculate Conception. In addition to an additional private lounge area and a pleasant balcony, this suite also has a spacious bathroom with two sinks, a hairdryer and free toiletries. I like the tranquil interior and the upgraded furniture that gives it personality, making it a great pleasure to live here. Tatva Salon & Spa Signature Tree House Massage

After many sightseeing and travels in northern and central Goa, massage therapy is in great need! Thank you to the Tree House Hotel for providing me with a special tree house massage at Tatva Salon & Spa. The massage started at 6 pm and lasted for nearly an hour and a half. Why I recommend this special massage to every business and leisure traveler is because; it includes unique stretching techniques that are very helpful for actual treatment. Stretching before massage helps relax muscles and promote blood circulation.

Daisy, my therapist at the time, was not inferior in using the mysterious but very effective stretching technique. The conversation with Daisy revealed how combining conventional massage techniques with assisted stretching can make our muscles flexible and help her treat painful areas more effectively. I mean, I didn’t even know how cramped my shoulders and neck were until I got this iconic massage that relieves joint pressure.

After 30 minutes of stretching exercises, Daisy used a variety of massage techniques: Swedish, Balinese, reflexology and trigger points. She also used several yoga poses to help me improve my posture. Usually, the signature massage includes oiling, but I choose to skip it and settle down for aromatherapy and ask Daisy to use cream instead. This is a sacred experience, I feel as light as a feather. You must experience it yourself to understand how it affects your body.
Dining at Neptune Tree House
![]()
Treehouse Neptune’s in-house multi-cuisine restaurant has a rich menu, but since I have eaten a lot in the past two days, I decided to have French fries and fried chicken for lunch. The French fries have a good texture and are hot and crunchy when served. With a spicy taste-Tawa fried chicken has its own characteristics, if it does not have bones, it will taste better. But I like its spiciness! Breakfast, the next morning was great! I ordered an omelet and an espresso, and the staff was very friendly and gave me a sliced fruit platter.
Things to do near neptune tree house
The advantage of Treehouse Neptune lies in its centralized location. It is close to everything that people want to explore in Panjim. Although I stayed in this hotel for a day, I still started to drill the nearest fence from the global to the local store. Come and have a look.
Banjim Church
![]()
Built in the 15th century, Panjim Church, also known as the “Church of Immaculate Conception”, is a 5-minute walk from Treehouse Neptune and is one of the most famous attractions nearby. It is called Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Imaculada Conceição in Portuguese. This small church built in 1541 is a colonial Baroque Portuguese church on a hillside overlooking Panjim in its heyday. The small church that once served the religious needs of Portuguese sailors is now one of the most famous sights in Goa.

Usually, tourists will visit this church and admire its ancient bell (the second largest clock in Goa), which was extracted from the Augustinian ruins of Nossa Senhora da Graça in Old Goa. The Church of the Immaculate Conception became a parish in 1600, and in the 18th century, a winding staircase was added to the chapel of the time. The church bell was later installed in 1871. From here you can see Garcia da Orta, the municipal garden of the city.
Eating Goan Rose Omelette
![]()
Before Namrata introduced me to what I now recommend to everyone traveling to Goa, I was very new to Goa Ros omelette. Very similar to Xacuti, Ros or Ras omelette, it is a Goan specialty snack, using chickpeas or chicken in a spicy gravy, depicting authentic Goan Catholic cooking. Since Sandeep Ros Omelete Center is only a few steps away from Treehouse Neptune, I know I can’t miss the comfort of being immersed in such real Goan things.

Curry usually consists of curry leaves, onions, shaved coconut, mustard seeds and local spices. Most of the Goans also added mushrooms and broccoli to this preparation. The omelet includes eggs, chopped peppers, coriander and other herbs, and there are many varieties. They boiled omelets and Ros separately, but when serving, the waiter will pour the hot Ros on the freshly fried omelets. You eat this traditional Goan with Poi, which is a typical Goan bread. Eat and drink well!
Panjim Promenade Night Walk
![]()
Every visit to Panjim must end with a night walk on the Panjim Promenade. Once again very close to the tree house Neptune, the Mandovi River is the hub of some very luxurious offshore casinos. Mandovi and Zuari together form an estuary system, which is the backbone of Goa’s agriculture. But walking quietly by the river at night is one of the most beautiful experiences you will encounter in Panjim. I spent a pleasant time strolling along the tree-lined river bank, enjoying the waters recognized by the brightly lit casino cruise ship, while pulling the tranquil spirit of the calm river. It’s refreshing!
Mother of God Church

Last but not least, visit the 18th century Mae de Deus church, which is located in the picturesque surroundings of Saligao. It was between Anjuna and Panjim, and I happened to take a moment in this charming church on the way from Treehouse Sonnet to Treehouse Neptune. The Mae de Deus or Mother of God Church itself has a simple yet distinctive neo-Gothic charm.

This church has a magical statue of the Mother of God (Mae de Deus) brought from the ruins of Old Goa. With its Gothic spire and rustic white walls, this fairytale church is one of the best Gothic churches in Goa.
