Cancel your interstate or overseas registration
Before considering applying for a refund, you first need to cancel your registration in New South Wales. This will require you to send your new address and identification to the service centre in New South Wales.You will also need to provide the relevant complete form applicable to your specific situation, the license plate or license plate receipt you submitted, and other details you can find here.

Apply for CTP Green Slip refund overseas
Once your registration is cancelled, you can apply for a green order refund. Service NSW will provide you with a proof of cancellation, which you need to submit to receive a CTP refund.
To submit your claim, please contact your insurance company and provide them with the relevant documents. This can be done from overseas, online or over the phone, depending on your provider. You may have to pay a small management fee.
