Although there are no face-to-face courses due to the global health crisis, these institutions are looking for ways to allow young people’s intellectual journey and their intellectual learning capabilities to grow.
Tripartite institutions have been advocating that young people’s ideas need to be nourished at the most important stage of young growth in order to be able to absorb the correct learning skills. Literacy at this stage is the foundation that must be laid.
The United States Agency for International Development has been providing ABC+ or its promotion of basic education. More than 10,000 beneficiaries of the education sector are mainly teachers, principals, supervisors and principals, and it has provided 9 million early learning materials.
The lucky recipients of this plan are public schools in District V and District VI, namely Bicol District and Western Visayas. In view of the increasing difficulties caused by COVID-19, the three parties are focusing on how to further develop and strengthen literacy and reading pandemic .
The selected public schools in the above-mentioned regions can focus on the use of the Internet as a learning medium. New innovations and initiatives have strengthened literacy teaching in the lower grades in the context of the new normal. 400 projects led by school teachers participated in “Teaching Leadership Training: Strengthening Learning Conditions for Early Literacy” led by the United States Agency for International Development.
The training focuses on cultivating literacy leaders who can cultivate a positive school atmosphere and conditions, combining social and emotional learning, gender equality and social tolerance, and development-suitable practices to support high-quality literacy teaching. Officials from the United States Agency for International Development, representatives of the Department of Education, teachers and officials from the fifth and sixth districts of the Department of Education, as well as other key partners and stakeholders attended the meeting.
The event includes a number of activities, including virtual posters and video exhibits initiated by the project, a virtual area featuring early learning materials supported by the United States Agency for International Development, and a collection of books in Tagalog, English, and native languages developed by the United States Agency for International Development.
