Alert Level 1: Pandemic era waning, do’s and don’ts, and worst-case scenarios

With two weeks to go before celebrating our second year of “quarantine”/lockdown, most cities in the country, including Metro Manila, will be under alert level 1 today, March 1, 2022,

Alert level 1 This basically means there are no restrictions on who can go out, when they can go out, where they can go, how many people can be in one place at a time, and which businesses can or don’t operate. The only difference to this “new normal” is that minimum public health protocols and safety regulations should still be followed.

The minimum health protocols and safety of wearing masks are still enforced during this exciting period of “no restrictions”, which is basically to protect everyone from the still-present COVID-19 virus. People will no longer have to show vaccination cards, people will no longer have to fill out those stupid contact tracing forms, or even download and use those contact tracing apps. Everyone can come and go freely. Just like 2019!

On the last day of February, only 951 new cases were reported, with 50 new deaths. This is the lowest level since the holidays, but in November 2021 we hit the 400 new case level, the only time we were free to go out until the OMICRON variant.

In other parts of the world, including the US, UK, South Korea and Australia, 100,000 new Covid-19 cases have been added each day so far.

So, the 900+ new cases we’re getting every day is really unbelievable to me.But I want to applaud the political will of our country to give this false hope COVID-19 pandemic It’s over, we can get out of this pandemic era and live normal lives.

The worst situation

This false pretense is of course politically motivated, since it’s election season. I believe there will be another lockdown in May 2022 because there will be a new variant and there will be another surge in COVID-19 cases. And since we’re all locked down, either the election will be postponed, or the voting will be done like OFW’s absentee ballot! When this happens, YIKES! confusion! A lot of people will claim that they have been scammed. Election polls will take forever and the current government will remain the proxy government as this is the deal before the new inauguration.

should you go out or not

Gosh, get out, if you have a place to go. Don’t hang out like 2019, people will watch like you used to.

I’m sure many of us are excited about being free, exploring the outside world, or being just four corners away from our prison (I mean home).

Please stay vigilant and don’t let your guard down, especially your mask and hand sanitizer.
