Calvin Joseph Fon
Calvin Joseph Fung, 97, passed away peacefully on February 11, accompanied by his daughters.
He leaves behind his wife of 73 years (Jeni), daughters Janine Chan (Brian) and Alicia Davis (Mark); grandchildren Natalie Rogers (Black), Jordan Davis (Kelly), Paul Davis and Karin Bisset (Denver); great-grandchildren, Reagan, Eleanor, Eli, Ava and Layla, and nieces and nephews and their families in Washington, Oregon, California and British Columbia, Canada.
Born in San Francisco, Feng lived in Seattle as a teenager and as an adult. He works at Boeing and enjoys traveling the world and golfing with his wife and their circle of friends, while also supporting and strengthening the Seattle Chinese community through various volunteer activities.
He is a founding member of the Seattle Chinese Athletics Association, an active supporter of the Wing Luke Museum and Cathay Post #186. In 2021, Feng is one of hundreds of Chinese veterans to receive the Congressional Gold Medal of Honor in recognition of his service during World War II.
Feng will be buried in Lake View Cemetery. Private funerals and celebrations of life are planned in the future.
