Small businesses are getting the attention they deserve from Facebook parent company Meta.
During National Small Business Week, Meta announced new ways for SMBs to leverage lead generation and share content.
The new tool is designed to help businesses drive higher-quality leads by identifying new ways to connect with customers.
Messaging and Conversation Features
Meta recently found that more than 70% of people want to be able to communicate with businesses in a similar way to friends and family: through messaging.
In fact, businesses are also realizing the value of messaging customers. They find that the ad format that opens WhatsApp chats is a great way for new customers to discover them and have a conversation.
With this new insight, Meta is creating ads for Facebook and Instagram that can be created directly from their WhatsApp Business app. Below is an example of the new experience.
The second message update is the inbox itself. Meta simplifies business communication by putting all your messaging tools in one inbox.
Your business inbox already contains messages from Facebook Messenger and Instagram Direct. Going forward, it will also include messages from WhatsApp.
This integration saves you and your team time, money and efficiency.
The final message update allows you to send promotional message advertisements directly through Meta Business Suite to customers who choose to communicate.
This update is the result of direct SMB feedback on the need to respond more effectively to customer issues.
Marketing messages in Meta Business Suite can help you drive more sales and long-term customers without the need for additional tools.

Meta is rolling out countless new tools to help businesses capture and manage leads through the platform. These features include:
- Quote Request in Instagram
- Filter leads with instant forms
- creative flexibility
- Gated content
- Partner integration
Quote requests are currently being tested with select businesses on Instagram. Essentially, it allows companies to add a “Get Quote” button to their Instagram profiles and their Stories.
In the near future, lead filtration will be available to businesses. This will be done by reviewing responses to multiple-choice questions.
Meta is also testing its Instant Form for more personalization. Selected businesses were able to test adding visuals and content to their instant forms to provide users with more visual information.
Closed content will soon be available to companies. By creating gated content, SMBs can provide resources to potential customers after filling out lead ad forms. This allows users to stay directly on the platform.
generalize
If you’ve had problems with Facebook or Instagram in the past with your small business, these tools are for you.
While these projects are currently in beta, Meta is hosting an event called dialogue May 19th Discuss these further. After registering, you will be able to receive more information about the above tools and features.
