All templates are created using free online tools canvas, so you need to set up an account (super easy and totally free). For templates that use Canva Pro elements, you’ll see a watermark. You can replace them with elements that are available in the free version, or you can’t bear to part ways with it, and you can always sign up for a free trial of Canva Pro.
Get images from Canva to Insta
After customizing the template to your liking, here’s how to add it to your story:
- Go to the top right corner of the Canva window, it says “Share”.
- Select Download and choose the images to download (if you are using the free version, you must download one image at a time).

- To get images on your phone, you can email them to yourself or save them to any folder you can access on your phone (Google Drive, iCloud, Dropbox). Alternatively, you can download the Canva app.
- Open the images on your phone and save them to the camera roll. Now they can be used in your stories.

All templates are the right size, but as you know, Instagram Story images are 1080 X 1920 pixels (9:16 ratio) and stories can be up to 60 seconds in length. Now, the template.
