If you already have a Google Account, it’s easy to set up, includes document collaboration, and integrates seamlessly with Google Workspace.In competition, it piles up reasonably Excellent. That said, the software requires a Google Workspace subscription to unlock all its features, and it lacks transcription options.

Google Meet is a great choice if you need quick setup and useful collaboration tools. However, due to an incomplete feature set, lack of built-in whiteboard tools, and irregular technical issues, the software failed to make our top choice.

Fair Pricing: While the monthly fee may seem a bit high compared to other webinar software, you get Google Workspace included in the package, which contains many of the office and collaboration tools that most people are already familiar with. Overall, it’s a good deal when you take everything into consideration.
Supplemental Workspace Plan: You can use Google Workspace tools and Google Meet. Compatible with Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar and Sheets. In other words, businesses that already use Google Workspace tools will immediately know most of the tools at home.
Powerful mobile app: The full mobile app is available for Android and iOS devices, including iPads and other tablets. These applications allow you to invite up to 250 participants to meetings and present slides, and all video conferences are encrypted in transit. If needed, you can create webinars anytime, anywhere.

Occasional browser freezes: There are issues related to browser freezing when sharing the screen – this is somewhat common. The browser stops working and the user has to start the meeting from scratch. Google Meet also crashes when loading sessions.
Incomplete feature set: If you want to use Google Meet to its full potential, you need to use it with Google Workspace. Even so, it lacks some features that others on the market offer, such as waiting rooms for participants and the ability to annotate directly on the screen without using a separate app.
Join Meeting Restrictions: There are some restrictions when joining a meeting. For example, only the meeting host can approve or deny requests to join the session. If the host is unavailable and the user sends a join request, external users cannot join even if they have the meeting link. Some users also have difficulty joining meetings without resetting their browsers.

The free plan offers 24 hours of 1:1 meeting length and 1 hour group meeting length. You’ll be able to host up to 100 participants in one meeting and set up an unlimited number of meetings for free. Native mobile and tablet apps are included with the free plan, and you can share your screen and close captions in real-time in multiple languages. All in all, this is a respectable free plan.
After entering the first paid tier, you can access Google Workspace and all the tools available. For $7.99 per month, you’ll get everything in the first free tier, plus 24-hour group meetings, meeting recordings saved to Google Drive, intelligent noise reduction, and 24/7 online support. This layer also provides participants with breakout room functionality and the ability to “raise your hand”, which is arguably essential.
The last tier is an enterprise-level business; you must contact the sales team for a full quote. You get everything from previous levels, 500 meeting participants, attendance reporting, in-domain live streaming for up to 100,000 viewers, and many additional security and privacy features. This tier also provides a security dashboard, Alert Center, Google Drive’s Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and investigative tools.
As you might expect, the last tier of customer support has also been significantly enhanced, with a Google consultant assigned to your company, 24/7 priority support, a target response time of 1 hour, and a technical account manager for premium support for an additional fee. Google Drive storage on this tier is unlimited, and you can also access polls.
So how is pricing formed? Overall, this is a good plan when you consider Google Workspace features.
That said, some of the best features aren’t available until the last tier, where others on the market jump.For example, Livestorm gives you access to all of its best-in-class webinar features free plan. These features include everything you could possibly need, making it a better option if you need a high level of customization for your webinars.
Google Meet Customer Support
Customer support for Google Meet has been enhanced for Google Workspace users.
These packages provide different levels of support, including response time for priority cases. The amount of customer support depends on the plan you choose; keep in mind that the free tier gives you access to online resources, community forums, and live chat support, so you won’t be without help.

Premium support from a technical account manager and help from a designated Google consultant is if only Final plan available for enterprise – this includes 24/7 priority support options.
Overall, you get full typical customer support. However, we would like to see some of the more advanced support features on other levels offered as paid upgrades, which you can find elsewhere in the market.

Google Meet provides its users with an easy-to-use and intuitive interface. You’ll find well-organized and straightforward presentations on your browser and on the mobile app that does the job. These apps, which we’ll see later, are particularly intuitive, and it’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into their production.

Google Meet’s main calling functions are easy to find, and you’ll find most of the controls at the bottom of the screen. At the bottom are meeting details, microphone controls, the ability to end calls, camera options, and the familiar three dots where you can see many other options and settings. In the upper right corner, more options allow you to change who you share your screen with during a session.
Recent UI improvements (through Google’s ongoing updates) have introduced additional call backgrounds and a low-light feature that automatically improves call video quality. Here are a few minimal, “less is more” approaches that will have little or no problem for most users — even if it’s visual candy.
Google meet performance
Most of the time, Google Meet offers solid performance, though it’s not without its shortcomings. Browser freezing issues are somewhat common, and even with updates, users are still unable to access and join meetings. Some problems can be solved by closing unnecessary programs running in the background and browser tabs you’ve finished using, but it’s not ideal.

Call video quality is better and mostly stable.when delay issues Do When it happens, you can change the video settings and use a lower resolution – this works a lot of the time. Google Meet works best with Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, so if you’re using any other browser and having trouble, switch to one of those browsers. Unsurprisingly, Google Meet performed best on Chrome.
Some Google Meet users have also complained about high CPU usage on Windows and Mac, and it’s fair to say that other webinar software on the market is less resource-intensive. Google Meet requires at least 4 GB of RAM, and for best performance, if you’re not using mobile apps, you’ll need a desktop computer with 8 GB of RAM.

Google meetupThe mobile app is one of the most important parts of the package. Apps are available on both iOS and Android, including iPads and other tablets. These apps allow you to share your screen and present documents and slides during conference calls, as well as host large meetings where you can invite up to 250 participants to a meeting, whether they are members of the same team or outside the company a member of.

Using these apps, you will be able to share a link through which guests can join with one click on multiple devices. We found that the mobile apps performed better than using Google Meet in any browser, which speaks to their strength. Not to mention that you can participate in sessions via Q&A and polls, and the ability to create webinars on the go is very useful.
If you want to host a meeting on the go, just click the “New Meeting” button and a pop-up menu with four options will appear. From there, users can text, email, or share invitations via social media, and even tap the “Schedule in Google Calendar” command.
Alternatively, you can click “Start instant meeting” to start the meeting immediately. If someone tries to join, a dialog will appear where you can deny or allow them to join before continuing. It works well and is more consistent than the desktop version of Google Meet.
You can also easily change the background during a call, and the visual effects icons at the bottom right of the screen allow you to blur the background or choose a new one from the menu. Filters can be selected if you want, and basic video calling functionality is at the bottom of the screen no matter what device you’re using. You can switch between front and rear cameras in the upper right corner of the screen.
If you want to invite more people to the call, click “Add Others”. The rest is simple and intuitive. The audio icon gives you the option to be a “receiver” or a “speaker”. For example, if you don’t want your phone close to your ear, you can tap this icon to select the speaker, which will amplify the sound.
Finally, it integrates with other key tools, including Gmail, Google Calendar and Assistant, the option to share live content to all participants in a call, and real-time closed captioning for improved accessibility and engagement. All conversation history, contacts and messages are saved in the app, so you can return to them as needed.
The only downside is that not all features are available to non-paying users — in other words, all features are only available to Google Workspace customers. However, the main features you need are there without paying anything.
All in all, the Google Meet mobile app is user-friendly, has strong security, and Google continues to improve at a steady rate. There are many likes.
How Google Meet Ranks
Google Meet is a great piece of software that can be helpful when creating webinar content. Pricing is fair on all tiers, and if you already enjoy using Google Workspace tools, they’re a great value, and the mobile app doesn’t disappoint.
That said, Google Meet isn’t our top pick due to technical issues and an incomplete feature set. For webinar lovers, there are better options on the market.
