Winner and CACA Board Member
On June 5, the Chinese Citizens Alliance of America (CACA) in Seattle held an in-person banquet for the first time since the pandemic.
Nearly 130 attendees filled 13 tables at the China Harbor Restaurant with Cathay Pacific Post 186, Chinese Information and Service Center, International Community Health Services, Jian’an, OCA Greater Seattle, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, Yonglu Museum, and Many community members and friends.
The local winner of the CACA National High School Essay Contest received a prize. Diane Sun, an eleventh grader at Interlake High School, received the $500 first prize. The other recipients are Xiaoxia Zhang, grade 10 student at International School; Tessa Han, grade 11 student at Woodinville High School; and Gavin Zhou, grade 10 student at Issaquah High School.
