Illie Rennie announced his intention to “stand by” as the leader of the organization Scots Liberal Democratic Party.
The 53-year-old posted a video online Twitter On Monday night, he confirmed his departure “after 11 elections and referendums in 10 years and the global pandemic.”
In the video recorded by Mr. Rennie while climbing the mountain, he thanked the people of Northeast China Big flute He was re-elected and added: “I will continue to work for you.”
He said: “In the past ten years, there have been gains and losses along the way, but I enjoy every effort.
“I do like a great campaign, but now it’s time for a new face to lead our party forward.
“The new leader will have my full support, in a bright new chapter in the story of the Scottish Liberal Democratic Party.
“People in the northeast of Fife, thank you for re-electing me in May. I will continue to work for you.
“For the members of the Scottish Liberal Democratic Party, it is my honour to lead you. I look forward to running with you again soon.
“We want to win the election.”
