
Columbia Climate School Outreach Internship
Columbia Climate School is seeking three interns to support its professional development program and assist with outreach for the 2023 virtual all-Ivy League Environmental and Sustainability Career Fair. The show will take place on February 10, 2023. Each year it brings together about 75 recruiters who are recruiting up to 1,000 Ivy League students for full-time/part-time jobs and internships. We are looking for motivated professional interns to assist with outreach and follow-up with organizations; post jobs to Climate School job listings; and update employer and student communications. The ideal intern will bring creativity, energy and enthusiasm to the mission of bringing incredible organizations to the 2023 Career Fair. Interns must be able to work in person at the Columbia University Forum.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include: contacting organizations and inviting them to career fairs; managing follow-up communications with organizations; maintaining up-to-date contacts, outreach, and next steps spreadsheets; helping to prepare materials and setup for career fairs’ virtual networking sessions; and searching/ Post climate and sustainability work. Other relevant responsibilities assigned.
Required skills:
Applicants should be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will be personable, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and precise. A background in marketing, sales or advertising is preferred, but not required. Advanced Excel skills are desirable.
Required Student Type:
Undergraduate or postgraduate.
compensation:
$21.50/hour, 10-15 hours/week. Positions will begin in early October and run through February 2023.
