Keto Maple Syrup impossible to find in the past keto diet, let alone making it at home…until now!this Sugar Free Maple Syrup Recipe Captures all the thick, sticky texture and rich maple flavor of traditional syrups, without the carb spikes. Also, like Keto Simple Syrup and Sugar Free Chocolate Syrupthis keto pancake syrup uses just a few simple ingredients!
If you plan to make your own sugar-free pancake syrup, you must use a suitable sweetener. I’ve made it with erythritol for years because it’s the only option available that doesn’t have a strong aftertaste, but it doesn’t dissolve well and recrystallizes later. (Most sweeteners, even powdered ones, do this, resulting in a tough syrup.)
Now I just use Besti Luo Han Guo Powder Allulose Blend For this reason: it stays dissolved, creating a super smooth syrup with all the sweetness of traditional powdered sugar! This is the best way to make sugar-free keto syrup.

Is maple syrup keto?
Traditional maple syrup doesn’t fit the ketogenic lifestyle because it contains a whopping 14 grams of sugar in just one tablespoon! Most other syrup substitutes contain fake flavors, high fructose corn syrup, or preservatives that either increase the carb content or taste terrible. Luckily, it’s easy to make low carb syrup and it tastes just like the real thing – no sugar. (You can also purchase Wholesome Yum Tomato Maple Syrup, it has no artificial ingredients or aftertaste, if you don’t want to make your own. )

ingredients you need
This section describes how to choose the best ingredients for a low-carb syrup, the role of each ingredient in the recipe, and substitution options. See recipe card below for measurements.
- Besti Luo Han Guo Powder Allulose Blend – Best Natural Sugar Swap for this Homemade Keto Maple Syrup Recipe! Unlike other powdered sweeteners, this one dissolves completely and stays dissolved for a smooth and sweet finish…and no aftertaste. If you must use a different keto sweetenerremember that it must be powdered to achieve the best effect, many brands will crystallize when stored.
- Maple Extract – Develops the natural flavor of maple without sugar. Extracts vary in potency and quality, so the amount and flavor you need may vary depending on the substance you use. Some brands have clearer colors, which will also affect the appearance.I recommend this brandtastes great and is a beautiful golden sugar-free maple syrup.
- Xanthan Gum – a ketone cornstarch substitute This helps thicken the low-carb pancake syrup.
- water

Variation: Make Flavored Keto Syrups!
Add these flavors to your sugar-free maple syrup while remaining keto-friendly:
- flavor extract – Add vanilla extract to the pot (except maple leaf extract) while simmering, or swap out the maple leaves for any other flavor you like!
- fruit syrup – simmer and mash keto fruit In a pan until softened. Strain and discard solids, then add fruit to the finished syrup.
- Add spices – Add cinnamon sticks, cardamom, fresh ginger or cloves to syrup when storing. Inject for 2-4 days, then filter off the solids.
- including citrus – Add citrus zest or peel while simmering.
- Add bourbon – Pour 1-2 tablespoons into the pan while it is simmering.
How to Make Keto Syrup

- simmer. Add Besti, maple extract and water to a saucepan and bring to a slow boil. Simmer and stir occasionally with a whisk until the sweetener dissolves.
- brush. Pour keto maple syrup into a medium bowl. (You can also use blender, but it looks better if you stir in a bowl. ). Sprinkle half of the xanthan gum lightly and evenly over the top (do not pour).

- Thicken it up a bit. Sprinkle remaining xanthan gum over syrup base and stir again. Let the syrup sit and thicken further.
- enjoy. Transfer sugar-free maple syrup to a bottle to pour and store.

Tip: The syrup is not thick enough?
Add more xanthan gum (1/16 tsp at a time) and stir again. Be sure to sprinkle and avoid pouring all at once to avoid clumping.
Storage Instructions
- Shop: Keep keto maple syrup in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.I recommend one glass bottles like this For convenience.
- Reheat: If you prefer warm syrup (or use recrystallized sweetener), heat in a saucepan over low heat until smooth and warm. You can also microwave it in a glass jar, but it won’t fix the crystals.
- freeze: You can freeze this sugar-free maple syrup, but I recommend keeping it fresh. The texture may change after freezing. If you do freeze, cover and store in an airtight container. Gently heat in a pan or thaw overnight before serving.
