Man shot in CID near Goodwill

At 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, a man was shot dead at a camp near Goodwill at the intersection of 13th Avenue and South Lane Street in Seattle’s Chinatown International District (CID). KING 5 reported that the man was 31 years old. The gunman fled the scene.

Seattle police officers who arrived at the scene carried out lifesaving measures. However, Seattle Fire Department paramedics declared the man dead at the scene. The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is looking for the shooter.

“Right now, it’s all under investigation. But it’s something we’ll explore and investigate because detectives go through everything. But at this point, it’s still unknown,” Detective Valari Carson told KIRO 7.

Carson also said investigators do not know what led to the shooting.

There have been “six fatal shootings” in the neighborhood, according to SPD crime statistics [since June 18], the highest of all districts in the city. “

Anyone with information about the shooting should call the Violent Crime Report Line at 206-233-5000.
