Boeing will showcase its advanced defense capabilities at DefExpo 2022 and underscore the company’s commitment to India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision, recently announcing that the F/A-18 Super Hornet has a potential economic impact of $3.6 billion to the Indian economy over 10 years influences. India’s carrier-based fighter jets and continued investment in manufacturing, engineering and technology transfer, sustainment, training and skills, and infrastructure. The economic impact will exceed Boeing’s current offset obligations and plans in the country.
Boeing India show is themed “By India, for India” Will highlight the company’s strategic investment in India’s aerospace and defense ecosystem to build services local infrastructure, capabilities, workforce development and partnerships, while leveraging the strength of India’s talent and its vast network of over 300 supplier partners and growing network.

At DefExpo, Boeing will highlight existing defense programs with the Indian Navy and Indian Air Force, such as the C-17, P-8I, AH-64E Apache and CH-47F Chinook, and outline sustainment, training and performance-based logistical solutions The programme allows the Indian Armed Forces to support the lifecycle of its fleet and improve mission readiness. The show will also showcase the advanced capabilities of the F/A-18 Super Hornet Block III and F-15EX.

Boeing will demonstrate the advanced multi-role capabilities of the F/A-18 Super Hornet Block III as the best choice for the Indian Navy’s carrier-based fighter needs and highlight the industrialization advantages of Boeing products. Visitors will be able to fly the Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet Block III in the simulator and learn more about its capabilities for various missions, carrier aviation and excellence.
India currently has 11 C-17s, 22 AH-64 Apaches (six more on order), 15 CH-47 Chinooks, 12 P-8Is, three VVIP aircraft and two Heads of State airplane. Additionally, Boeing is steadily increasing purchases from India and expanding its supplier network. Its contributions and investments in “Make in India” are aimed at leveraging India’s manufacturing capabilities, talent, innovation and productivity.
