It started as a hobby in college and how he met his wife, but now “dumpster diving” has become a major business opportunity for Dave Sheffield, founder Buffalo Bottle Craft.
On today’s show, Dave talks to Dan about a side documentary that is currently watched by nearly 1.5 million people, and the subsequent media interest that has led him to consider the many different ways a “dumpster diving” business can grow: from sales Physical products found in dumpsters, creating online content to show how others are doing the same:
“If I find some new material in the bin that I know can be sourced on a large scale…I’ll make a video and say, ‘Hey guys, look at this cool thing. What do you think I’ll get out of it? What would you use it for? This is my product research.”
