Spain’s popular holiday islands are in danger of being moved to the Amber List just two weeks after being granted exemption from quarantine travel, According to reports.

The Sun newspaper, which first reported the so-called travel changes, quoted a source as saying: “All this is still to be discussed, but the numbers are not good, which is why it was included on the watch list in the first place.”
The Ministry of Transport stated that there is “nothing to say at the moment” regarding the changes in the travel status of the Balearic Islands.
An analyst said that in addition to countries that may leave the green list, some countries may take another path.
Robert Boyle, former strategic director of British Airways parent company IAG, predicts that Italy, Germany and Poland are the most likely destinations to be included in the government’s green tourism list.
He wrote on his website www.gridpoint.consulting that “strong candidates” from Europe also include Austria, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia and Switzerland.
People arriving in the UK from a green list destination do not need to self-isolate.
He added that Hong Kong and Taiwan may also be transferred to the green list, while Canada is also looking for a good option, although the North American country currently does not allow tourists from the United Kingdom.
