LG’s first stick vacuum with a steam-powered mop nozzle on display at CES offers Wet and steam mopping with convenient “all-in-one tower” docking station
LG Electronics (LG) will introduce its new CordZero A9 Kompressor™ with steam-powered mop at CES 2023. Winner of a CES 2023 Innovation Award, the new model is the company’s first cordless stick vacuum to offer steam mopping. The CordZero A9 Kompressor also features an innovative all-in-one tower docking station designed to store, charge and self-empty the vacuum cleaner.
LG’s latest CordZero features a detachable steam-powered mop nozzle that offers both wet mopping and steam mopping capabilities; delivering convenient, effective mopping performance that cleans surfaces without the use of any detergent. In steam mopping, the mopping pad remains at a temperature of approximately 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit), making it easier for the CordZero A9 Kompressor to remove stains from floors than traditional wet mopping solutions. According to global testing and certification body Intertek, LG’s steam-heated mop pads are more effective at separating substances, such as hardened chocolate, from floors than typical wet mops.1
The steam-powered mop nozzle also features dual sensors to help prevent the attachment’s steam generator from overheating, and an advanced automatic water supply system to keep the mopping pad moist during mopping. For user safety, if the nozzle is lifted off the ground or held still for approximately 20 seconds, the steam supply will shut off and the mop pad will stop spinning after approximately one minute of inactivity.2 LG’s new cordless vacuum also features the company’s Axial Turbo Cyclone™ technology to help remove dust and debris from floors and other household surfaces by creating powerful suction.
Used with the CordZero A9 Kompressor equipped with a steam powered mop is the one-piece tower. LG’s space-saving fast charging dock features replaceable dust bags, an automatic bin emptying system and an intuitive display with real-time status updates. LG’s all-in-one also offers a choice of three different alert/notification melodies and easily stores CordZero vacuum accessories.
