These are three of our recommendations for places you can visit with some incredible sights and beautiful views, all at affordable prices!
Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire
This seaside town in North East England has incredible beauty and an illustrious history. The town was originally known for its large fishing industry, as well as the award-winning Cleethorpes Coastal Light Railway. This is one of the oldest seaside miniature railways in the UK, dating back to 1948.
Not only does Cleethorpes have an amazing history, but you can also take a stroll along the coastline and walk along the pier, which opened in 1873 and is an incredible 370 metres. Today, the Quay is home to a number of quintessentially British fish and chip shops, cafés, pubs and music halls.
If you have kids, there are plenty of activities for them too! Things like paddle boarding, kayaking, beach riding, and if you want family cycling, there are plenty of bike paths.
Swanage, Dorset
If you have kids, definitely go to Swanage! Their beautiful beaches have been awarded a Blue Flag and Seaside Award, and with RNLI lifeguards located within the bathing area, it’s the perfect place for your whole family to swim.
The steam train travels through the beautiful Purbeck countryside, past Corfe Castle to the sandy beaches of Swanage. Durston Castle The country park is a rural paradise just half an hour’s walk from Swanage town center with coastal routes, incredible views and some fascinating wildlife. If you are interested in history and heritage, this place is definitely something that should be on your bucket list.

Whitecliff Bay, Isle of Wight
Whitecliffe Bay is at the eastern end of the Isle of Wight. The bay’s shoreline is about three-quarters of a mile long and has a popular sandy pebble beach that’s over half a mile long. With a perfectly sheltered beach, there’s always a quiet spot from where you can look out over the English Channel – who wouldn’t want a view like that?
There are many dining options on site, including Beach Cafe for light fare, Culver’s for burgers, pizza and hot dogs, Nab’s for classic bars, and a well-stocked shop if you prefer to cook your own meals. The options are endless! At this location, you’re sure to be able to enjoy plenty of fun-filled excitement on a budget.
