The New Economics Podcast: Should we all be troublemakers at work?


When the chancellor presented his spring budget in parliament in March, half a million people went on strike demanding better services from their bosses. Teachers, junior doctors, subway drivers, civil servants and more are on strike in the largest strike action in more than a decade.

As the strike continues into another summer, how can workers maintain momentum? Will the new legislation make it harder to fight for better wages and working conditions? Should more of us try to unionize our workplaces?
