Strawberry Bruschetta:
- strawberry – They must be fresh strawberries. Frozen will soften too much when thawed.
- garlic – Fresh garlic is best.
- fresh basil – If you have dried basil on hand, feel free to use it. If using fresh parsley, reduce the amount by half.
- Olive oil – I prefer extra virgin olive oil. Avocado oil can be used instead.
- Salt – Kosher or Himalayan salt works well.
For the bread:
- French bread – I love French bread.
- butter – Olive oil is a great substitute.
Assemble them:
- Goat cheese – Creamy, spreadable goat cheese is the best. If it's vanilla it's fine.
- Balsamic vinegar reduction – Try my recipe or use your favorite.
How to Make Strawberry Bruschetta
There's nothing easier than whipping up bread, toasting and serving appetizers. Scroll to the bottom of the post to see the full recipe card.




- Make fruit toppings. Combine strawberries, garlic, basil, olive oil, and salt in a bowl until well blended. Set it aside.
- Toast. Preheat oven to 400F. Place sliced bread on baking sheet. Brush each slice with melted butter or olive oil. Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove them from the oven and allow to cool completely.
- Assemble it. Spread goat cheese on each slice of bread. Top with fruit mixture, drizzle with balsamic, serve, and enjoy!

- Use store bought. Purchase pre-sliced toast and store-bought balsamic reducer to put this recipe together faster.
- Make it fruitier. Chop fresh nectarines, peaches, pitted cherries and mangoes. Add 1-2 cups of mixture to strawberry bruschetta ingredients.

- Add nuts. Scatter 1/4 cup chopped almonds, pecans, walnuts, or macadamia nuts into the mixture for extra crunch.
- Change to a drizzle. Change balsamic reduction to drizzle Basil Pestoa little more olive oil, or a little more chili oil.
- Change bread. Sliced focaccia, sourdough bread, or Irish soda bread are all great alternatives to French bread in this recipe. Bake them as usual.
