The U.S. will review whether it can restore Cuba’s internet


The US government is studying whether it can help restore Cuban Internet access because it was cut off by the Communist government to prevent the flow of information against protesters.

After Internet access is blocked Thousands of Cubans Take to the streets during the coronavirus crisis to protest food shortages and high prices. This is the largest anti-government demonstration in decades.

On Monday, Cuban authorities blocked Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Telegram. Alp Toker, director of Netblocks, an internet surveillance company based in London, Tell the Associated Press News.

In addition to the White House and President Joe Biden’s statement that they intend to investigate the matter, Florida Governor Ron De Santis also pledged to support the people in the country because his state is the largest community of Cuban exiles in the United States.
