British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Finance Minister Rich Sunak will both self-isolate in accordance with national guidance and abandon the heavily criticized plan to participate in the pilot program, which allows them to continue working.
The government announced at 07:00 that Johnson and Sunak had been in contact with CovidO-19 patients and that they would participate in a pilot program that would allow them to continue working instead of self-isolating for 10 days.
But less than three hours later, after a series of criticisms from voters, political opponents and business owners, the decision was overturned.

A spokesperson said in a statement that Johnson will be quarantined in his country house, Chequers.
“He will not participate in the test flight,” the spokesperson said. “He will continue to have remote meetings with ministers.”
In another tweet, Sunak confessed his strong opposition to their initial decision, the day after Health Minister Sajid Javid said he tested positive for Covid-19.
“Although the testing and tracking pilots are quite strict and only allow necessary government business, I admit that even the rules are wrong for everyone to feel different,” he said.
“For this, I will self-isolate as usual and not participate in the pilot.”
