Hundreds of people crossed the English Channel to the UK, setting a new single-day record

At least 430 migrants have crossed English Channel I went to the UK on Monday and set a new record for a single day.

RNLI has been watching the ship, it is getting closer and closer to the shore, and finally landed on the beach at around 1pm.

Among those arriving were women and children, some were too young to walk, and some had to be supported when they walked to the beach.
