  • Britney Spears’s new lawyer said he was “actively and quickly” taking action to remove her father from her custody.
  • After the court allowed her to choose her representative, Matthew Rosengart was appointed as the singer’s lawyer last week.
  • Since then, the pop star has been speaking out on social media as she lobbied to end her supervision and attacked her family over the weekend.

Britney Spears said on Monday that his lawyers are “actively and quickly” taking action to remove her father from the disputed guardianship that controls her affairs.

The lawyer updated the situation to reporters after a very brief court hearing in Los Angeles. The hearing discussed the security costs of the singer’s professional administrator. He said she received threats from cases of global concern.

Matthew Rosengart said: “Unless Jamie Spears resigns first, my company and I are actively and quickly submitting a petition calling for his delisting.”

“We are working very hard on the documents,” Rosengart added, who was appointment Last week after the judge allowed the singer to choose his representative.

After experiencing a highly public breakdown in 2007, Britney was placed under unique legal custody mainly managed by her father.

But since the last century, the pop star has become increasingly outspoken and open in his opposition to regulation. Explosive court testimony Last month, she slammed the system for “abuse”.

She repeated and extended that testimony in court last week, by phone again, and on the weekend wrote On Instagram, she “will not perform on any stage anytime soon, my father will deal with what I wear, say, do or think”.

Even before Britney asked the court to terminate her custody, her loyal fans launched the #FreeBritney campaign, gathering outside the courtroom and at gatherings around the world.

“I thank Britney Spears again for her courage and strength,” Rosengart said on Monday.

“I also want to thank the fans and supporters of Britney Spears,” he added.

“The outreach and support for my company, myself, and most importantly, Britney Spears is really irresistible, from the east coast to the west coast, literally all over the world.”

Jamie Spears’ lawyer told the court last week that he would not voluntarily step down and refuted her claim that all the bad things that happened to her were attributed to her father, calling it “the farthest thing from the truth.”

Monday’s hearing involved Jodi Montgomery’s request for a monthly security fee of $50 000 (R730 000), Jodi Montgomery’s current person in charge of Britney. Jamie Spears currently controls his daughter’s inheritance.

Another hearing on security costs will be held next Monday, and then more petitions will be heard in court in late September.
