South Korean company Aceview is showcasing its latest vehicle security product using its proprietary real-time image processing technology for the first time at Thailand Defence and Security 2022.
Located in Gyeonggi-do near Seoul, Aceview specializes in developing cutting-edge driving safety products based on self-developed image processing technology.
Aceview’s M-AVM (3D Surround View) is a 360-degree solution featuring four multi-channel cameras – with ultra-wide, ultra-low light and Full HD capture quality – enabling drivers to safely maneuver the vehicle day or night without blind spot.
By leveraging its patented “look around” image merging technology, drivers can see the immediate environment around the vehicle from an intuitive 3D perspective rather than a bird’s-eye view. It also features high-speed processing technology that fuses images captured by the camera to render seamless video at higher speeds. In addition to enhancing real-time situational awareness and safety, the saved video imagery can be used to assist in accident investigations.
Aceview explained that the M-AVM can also be used on airborne and offshore platforms. The company has already provided the solution to the South Korean fire department, and by December 2021, the solution has been deployed on 500 fire trucks and is being supplied to the military for use in undisclosed types of vehicles. It is also used by patrol boats of the Korean National Police Agency.
The company has begun development of a real-time video facility control platform called F-AVM, which could eventually replace traditional CCTV footage with its video processing, storage and transmission technology.
“[We are] The first and only 3D Around View development, manufacturing supplier and K-MARK certified (2021) company in Korea. national defense.
The company has also embarked on research to expand its offerings to support the country’s Industry 4.0 ambitions, particularly in the areas of autonomous driving technology and data management using its image processing technology.
