Ed Sheeran appeared on the “Saturday Night Live” stage for the third time. A few weeks ago, he tested positive for COVID-19 and threatened to postpone his performance on the show.
Last month, Sheeran announced his diagnosis and was quarantined, just after “SNL” announced on October 23 that he would appear on the show as a musical guest on the second day. Earlier this week, the British singer ended the quarantine period and was allowed to resume his planned appearances including “SNL”. Entertainment tonight Report.
Sheeran first appeared in the “Dionne Warwick Show” sketch as a celebrity guest, and then performed two songs “Shivers” and “Overpass Graffiti” on the Studio 8H stage.

[but] I have been playing with that,” he explained. “I tested for COVID and I announced it a few days later because I had to cancel something, basically.But it’s a weird thing, got it and had to announce it to the world, and then suddenly…like, I’ve gotten rid of it now, I’m still receiving treatment [like I have it].”
Sheeran added that he did not want to share the news publicly, but due to the diagnosis, he had to cancel three major events held in England. He didn’t want to be rude or make excuses for his absence, so he decided to share the truth frankly.
Sheeran also sang his solo versions “Shivers” and “Overpass Graffiti” during a remote appearance on Stern’s show.
