OpenAI's Sora creates groundbreaking video clips that democratize and revolutionize content creation
As you may have heard or most likely seen, OpenAI has launched a new generative AI video platform, sora.
Sora can create stunning, realistic high-definition videos based on text commands or static images as prompts. It can generate videos in various styles, such as photorealistic, animated, or black and white, and can be up to one minute in length.
Sora is currently limited to a select group of beta testers for evaluation and is not yet generally available.
Eleven laboratories also introduce Ability to provide artificial intelligence-generated sounds to further bring films to life.

Sora is an expert at being both amazing and terrifying. The potential for movie creation in every potential application is incredible. Meanwhile, deepfakes have caused concern and confusion. OpenAI itself is concerned about potential abuse. The company is developing tools to detect content generated by Sora and plans to include metadata in the output for identification purposes.
Producing videos of artificial intelligence also brings wonders and threats in every conceivable application.
If we focus on the positives, because there are also negatives and dangers, Sora will provide unprecedented video capabilities for both novices and experts. Even a one-minute clip can introduce stunning, creative and professional footage into filmmaking, marketing, education, training simulations, gaming and virtual worlds, and entertainment.

Actor, filmmaker and studio owner Tyler Perry decided to halt the $800 million studio expansion after seeing what Sora could do. Perry expressed awe at how artificial intelligence like Sora can revolutionize content creation, mentioning that he's already using AI on two upcoming projects to avoid lengthy makeup processes. While recognizing the efficiencies brought by artificial intelligence, Perry also expressed concern that the technology could lead to job losses in the film industry.
If Mr. Perry reads this, instead of investing $800 million in studio expansions, the budget could be realigned to build the studios of the future, ones where artificial intelligence augments filmmaking. Everything can start now.
Sierra AI puts customers back in service, making chatbots more conversational and human
I've known Bret Taylor since the FriendFeed days, when Web 2.0 was taking shape. We were still working together at Salesforce until he announced his return to startups. Then I left and joined ServiceNow as global head of innovation.

Sierra is a conversational AI platform for enterprises designed to create a new engagement platform for customers. Like its website and mobile app, Sierra creates a digital environment that encompasses the customer experience in a conversational domain powered by artificial intelligence agents.

NVIDIA has released Chat with RTX, an AI-powered chatbot that runs natively on Windows PCs running Windows 10 or later with the latest NVIDIA GUP drivers.

Chat with RTX also supports YouTube links, then explains what's in the video and answers your questions. This is done by extracting data from closed caption files.
NVIDIA describes it as being able to leverage Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), TensorRT-LLM and RTX acceleration, allowing users to query custom chatbots to quickly get contextual answers. Everything runs natively on your Windows RTX PC or workstation, getting results quickly and securely.

I recently read an article because it was titled “Why searching your email is so hard”. That's the point. The same is true for local files. It’s not just about trying to find the right file, it’s about finding, understanding and unlocking the value of the content.
This reminds me of the new search wars between companies like Google and Perplexity. This is the difference between algorithms and human algorithms. The latter is based on your data.
We are on the cusp of personal artificial intelligence that understands, structures and helps you optimize and enhance you.
Note that it is resource intensive, which means RTX will tax the system to perform these tasks. Therefore, your mileage may vary. But it was the beginning of something deeper, more personal, more local.
