So, I said, have them come over for dinner and serve up these air fryer Brussels sprouts and see what they say.
I guess? They will come! These Brussels sprouts are just that good. They’re perfectly seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic, tossed with olive oil, and cooked in the air fryer, making them super soft in the middle and slightly crispy on the outside.

How to Cook Brussels Sprouts in the Air Fryer
How easy it is to make Brussels sprouts in the air fryer! This delicious side dish is ready in just 15 minutes.
- To spice up Brussels: In a bowl, toss together Brussels sprouts, salt and pepper, and granulated garlic.
- Air fryer: Place brussels in the air fryer and cook at 375ºF for 8-12 minutes, stirring halfway through or until crispy to your liking.
How long does it take to cook Brussels sprouts in an air fryer
Cooking time can vary depending on the size of the sprouts you are using. I say 8-12 minutes as a guide, but I recommend checking them at 8 minutes and adding time as needed.
Larger ones can take a few minutes, so watch and adjust as needed!
Why are my Brussels sprouts not crispy?
This is most likely because they don’t have room to breathe!
Make sure they are in a single layer in the basket so the air can circulate and cook them all the way. If they stack up, they might just steam and stay soft.
If you have too many sprouts, air fry them in small batches so they all get the perfect crispy texture.
You can also periodically pull the basket out and shake it a little to redistribute the sprouts. This helps them cook more evenly!
favorite decoration
I like to finish my sprouts with any of the following:
- flaky sea salt
- a pinch of fresh parmesan cheese
- Air Fryer Bacon
- Or a drop of maple syrup!
Can you put frozen brussels in the air fryer?
In theory, yes! The air fryer cooks frozen Brussels sprouts well, but you won’t get that crispy texture like fresh. I definitely recommend fresh bean sprouts for the best results as I like them nice and crispy.
