In my opinion, it’s just always Better to make your own salad dressing.
Why? Because it’s cheaper, tastes better, and you know exactly what’s in it.
This ginger dressing is one of my favorite condiments to make at home. It’s made with simple ingredients and packed with flavor…you can put it on anything. Pasta, vegetables, salads, seafood, chicken, pork, tofu, etc.
I don’t even blame you if you want to eat it out of the bowl with a spoon because it really is that good.
What is ginger ale made from?
- ginger: I recommend using fresh ginger as it has the best flavor. Be sure to peel it and grate it for dressing.
- Oil: Avocado oil or extra virgin olive oil will work.
- Coconut Amino Acids: Coconut aminos is an excellent gluten-free soy sauce substitute.
- Dijon mustard: Adds a touch of heat to dressings.
- Honey: The spice is offset with a hint of sweetness.
- garlic: Again, fresh is best so you get the best flavor.
- Salt and Pepper: Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Easier Salad Dressings
- 1 1/2 tablespoon peeled and grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil or extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon coconut aminos
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Honey
- 1 clove garlic, pressed into a paste
- pinch fine sea salt
- pinch freshly ground black pepper
